1980s
Ground-up beginnings on Long Island
Lions Group starts as a developer of single-family homes on Long Island, gradually taking on larger projects across the North Shore and Long Beach.
Early 1990s
Expansion into Queens
The firm begins building two- and three-family homes in Woodside, Bayside, and Flushing, laying the groundwork for its New York City presence.
2021
Long Island City & Miami, at once
A 27-story LIC rental building secures $95M in construction financing while Lions Group acquires a downtown Miami development site — the firm's first major push outside New York.
2022
Scaling up
Permits filed for a 49-story residential tower at 26-32 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City, alongside a proposed 57-story tower in downtown Miami with Fortis Design.
2023
$350M for Queens
Lions Group lands $350M in financing for a major Queens development, among the largest deals in the firm's history.
2024
The Bold opens its doors
In joint venture with Fetner Properties, Lions Group secures $107M and launches leasing at The Bold, 2701 Jackson Avenue — a signature Long Island City address.
